A space to lean into your
mind, body & soul
Welcome to Table for One Counseling!
My name is Kristy Gustavson, and I am the sole owner of Table for One LLC. I have been a practicing therapist for over 7 years. I take a person-centered approach to therapy and believe you are the expert on yourself. My role is to go alongside you as you explore, heal, and embrace all sides of yourself.
WAYS TO WORK TOGETHER
Individual Counseling
Together we will explore the core relationships in your life, including the relationship with yourself. In these sessions, we explore the intricate interplay of your mind, body, and soul, providing a comprehensive perspective on your overall well-being.
Couples Counseling
We will work through a number of interventions that target building trust, communication, fondness for each other, and creating a shared meaning for your life together.
Supervision for Licensure
If you are a Limited Licensed Counselor (LLPC) in the state of Michigan, I am a certified LPC Supervisor. I can offer supervision on a weekly, biweekly, or monthly basis, via ZOOM.
MY APPROACH
I use a multi theoretical approach to counseling, incorporating DBT*, CBT**, Motivational Interviewing, Gottman Couples Counseling, and Mindfulness interventions to guide my practice. In addition, I focus heavily on relationships. Relationships with family, friends, and partners; as well as your relationship with yourself, your body, and your higher being.

*DBT: Dialectical Behavioral Therapy
**CBT: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
We've worked together for over four years now and I consider myself blessed to have spent as much time with someone as caring and trustworthy as she is.
She doesn't simply listen; she actively assists me in uncovering insights I had never considered before, deftly guiding me through complex thoughts and emotions.
I have always felt so comfortable opening up and sharing about my life with her. She makes our sessions welcoming, relaxed, and something to look forward to.
EXPLORE RESOURCES & LEARN ON THE BLOG
The most important factor in a person’s progress in therapy is their relationship with their therapist. Maybe you are in the research stages and you need help finding a counselor. Maybe you are unsure of what to look for in a therapist. I feel strongly that everyone can benefit from therapy, and I hope this resource helps people get connected to a therapist, or simply offers mental health support for anyone who stumbles across it.
